Peggy joined the Board of Directors in 2025 & grew up in the Town of Tonawanda and has lived in WNY her whole life. She attended Medaille College and graduated in 1994 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She worked as a Veterinary Technician and Practice Manager alongside of her husband, Dr. Bill Killewald. They ran their practice at Killewald Small Animal Hospital until retiring in 2013.
Peggy and her husband renewed their faith journey together after marriage. They attended a small Lutheran Church for several years before going to the Chapel at Crosspoint. At the Chapel, Peggy sang in the choir and Bill ushered. They also attended Biblical classes for many years there to continue to grow in knowing the Lord. Shortly after attending the Chapel in 2007, they went on their first medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic. That was a life changing trip! They continued human medical mission trips at least yearly until Covid. They also participated in and led several veterinary mission trips. They were on the first ROAM mission trip which revealed to them how God was using the talents of first responders to teach firefighting and EMS as well as share the Gospel.
Peggy and Bill currently attend Freedom Church in Lockport where they serve in different positions. Together they have four children and 8 grandchildren. Their desire is to serve however the Lord calls them, whether here or abroad, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
