Honduran Firefighter Relief
Our Goal is to raise $4,000 to assist Firefighters and their families in Honduras
There are 20 Firefighters at the La Lima station in Honduras, where ROAM does Bible Studies and Discipleship programs. $200 will provide one firefighter and their family of 4 new clothing (shirts, pants, underwear, shoes), Biblical Counseling, and allow them to start rebuilding their lives and homes.
In the last month, two different Hurricanes have hit the country of Honduras, and have caused widespread flooding in the areas that Responders On A Mission does ministry in. Hurricane Eta hit Honduras and caused flooding ranging from 4 feet to over 10 feet in some areas. When the waters receded and cleanup began, Hurricane Iota caused the waters to rise again, along with mudslides in some areas. Two missionaries, along with the Firefighters in La Lima have lost their homes and most of their belongings.
The Responders On A Mission Int’l leadership team met with our Honduran partners to see how we can assist, knowing that there is a worldwide pandemic. The best way for you to partner with us to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the Honduran Firefighters in La Lima is financially. Our Honduran Missionary partners will use your financial gift to purchase the items listed above and distribute them to the Firefighters.

Ministry in Honduras
In 2018, Responders On A Mission was invited by Ryan Hansen, a missionary in Honduras, to come and see how we can partner with him to outreach to Honduran First Responders. In September of 2019, three members from our leadership team traveled to Honduras on a 5 day vision and scouting trip to see the sustainability of launching a ROAM International chapter in Honduras.
After meeting with Fire Command Staff, Firefighters, and Principals of two different schools, Responders On A Mission leadership had a meeting with Ryan and his team to talk about how we can partner together. The Honduran Firefighters were very eager to have us partner with them, and could not wait for the next steps to be shared. A strategy was agreed upon that allowed for the missionaries in Honduras to meet with the Firefighters, and sustain the mission when there is not an American Team there.
Tuesday October 8th, 2019 was the first meeting between the Honduran Missionaries that work with ROAM and the Honduran Fire Departments. There is great relationship building taking place, high receptivity, and we are returning with a team once the COVID restrictions ease. To apply and join us in Honduras, please fill out the online application.
