Its hard to believe how far Brothers Without Borders has come. As I sit here checking the code from the website, I have checked multiple search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo!), and have seen that our website (www.brotherswithoutborders.org) is now the top hit (2nd on Google after our Facebook page). This is incredible news! A dream is a reality because two men were obedient.
Obedience is something that is being taught to me daily. A few weeks back, my world was shaken. I admittedly made a mistake, and received a punishment. Through all this, I’ve learned that I have two options; the first being to get angry and upset, and the other being to see what God has for me in all this. They say fire refines us, and the Bible says it – “I will … refine them as one refines silver”- Zechariah 13:9. It is a struggle, and I know many people reading this are struggling through a circumstance, maybe it be a family issue, work issue, or anything else under the sun. Know that you are not alone, and God is by your side and desires to help you.
I was having some worship time in my car; (admit it, sometimes you rock out in the car…) and the song “Blessed Be Your Name” came on. One of the verses in the song ends with the words “When the darkness closes in Lord, still I will say, Blessed be the Name of the Lord”. That song hit me, like it was the first time I have ever heard that song. Sometimes it may seem like anything and everything can go wrong, and will go wrong, whether it be because of something we did or a circumstance outside of our control, but one thing I want to encourage you with, is that Jesus is always there. Call His name, let Him in, let Him transform you as you become obedient to what He wants. Trust me, your life will never be the same. If you would have told me five years ago that a “fellowship group” would turn into Brothers Without Borders, I probably would have laughed. But here we are.
Trust Him, let Him take you on an adventure, learn to be obedient to His commands. As a closing, I want you think on these three powerful words, and a great verse to put some emphasis on it is below…
Do Not Fear.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” Isaiah 41:10-13
